Having only one summer class that meets at night every Monday and Wednesday sounds like a dream but when there’s nothing else to do with your time it’s really dreadful.
My weekend starts Wednesday at 8:30p.m. and runs all the way to Monday at 5:30p.m.! OMG!!

Either way I still managed to have a pretty great weekend. I got a chance to chill with the guy I’m “talking” to right now and got to go out with my girls. :)

Wednesday night was supposed to be “Fundamentals Wednesday” with the girls in my class where we basically get together and have a crazy night. lol. But this week I guess everyone was too tired to get together. All I’m saying is that there’s only one more Wednesday left ladies!!! LETS DO IT! lol!!

Thursday I got a chance to hit up Rain Lounge for the first time which really wasn’t bad at all. We went in looking cute for their “Soca vs. Hip-Hop” party featuring DJ Walla from D.C. I had a good night even though there was no liquor in my system. [2 more weeks til I turn 21!!!]

Friday I went out with my girls to a party on 19th & Diamond which was $3 too much. lol. It wasn’t all that but the drinks were flowing and the music was okay so I naturally had a good time. After that we went back to my girls dorm where a girl was having her b-day party open to all. It was okay, we got to see a few people that we hadn’t seen in a while and that’s always great.

Saturday on the other hand was pretty dry. I basically sat in my room all day working on my class final project for like 2 hours and then the rest of the day was wasted away at the computer, eating, and watching TV. What a typical summer day.

I can’t say much for today except I accomplished more work on my final project that I thought I would. HALF WAY DONE! :)
Classes are over on
the 29th and best believe I’m back in New York by the 30th. lol.

Two more weeks to go and I’m gonna be 21!! Watch out for me ;)

Hello everyone, I’ve been at school for a while of course, gotta get my education. But every time I speak to someone I haven’t spoke to in a while they ask me the same question. Are you and “Girl” speaking yet? And the answer is always…
“NO! we are still not friends.”

I also wanted to clear up some things that were not addressed in the previous post.

One thing a few people brought up was that they thought I wrote the post too quickly and did not give her a chance to speak to me about the situation. As you all know I was extremely angry and in disbelief about the occurrence. I could not for the life of me believe that my own friend who I knew for so long could really be that selfish as to treat me and my sister in such a way.

But also what a lot of you did not know was that I waited a full week before I even wrote the post. Everything happened on a Thursday and I did not write anything until the next Saturday. I definitely think that was sufficient time for an apology or explanation if one was ever going to be given. Especially since she did not have a job at the time and wasn’t doing anything all day anyway.

A few days after I wrote the post and got feedback on it, her boyfriend called me to speak about everything. Once again, I did not receive a phone call from “Girl” herself but from her boyfriend trying to understand and rectify the situation.

He let me know that she had read the post and was extremely angry that i aired everything out. At first the conversation started off a little rocky because he was attempting to defend her but after a while of me explaining my side I think he understood why I felt so strongly about everything. We spoke for a while and he brought up the idea of bringing her over to my house so that we could all talk about the situation. But clearly it was 2 a.m. and I live in a Haitian household, if I was not already out of the house there was no reason for the front door to be opening at all. So that was definitely not happening. Especially since my sister made it very clear that if “Girl” ever stepped foot in my house again that there would have been a serious altercation.

Before he and I got off the phone, we discussed the possibility of having a sit down to discuss the situation and although I wasn’t too keen about it, I let him know that it was indeed a possibility.

After that phone call, I never heard word from either of the two again, I had a great winter vacation with the rest of my friends and went back to school for the Spring semester.

I actually found it quite funny that a lot of people that I had not talked to in a while was sort of waiting for me to realize this about her. Lately I seem to be reacquainting with a lot of old friends that had not been hitting me up because I was always with her and they did not want her coming around them.

Yes I still think that was a little bit shady since we were not married so they could have invited me to go out with them regardless and just asked me not to bring her along, but what can you do?

The only part of this situation that really saddens me is that I really loved her family and wont get to see them as much as I used to. But I guess you win some you lose some.

Well that’s all for now people! I hope the summer is treating you all well.

Lol, not mine! I went to see the movie with one of my friends during The Pearl Theatre’s $6 Tuesday special which is clearly every Tuesday on Temple’s campus. The movie was BEYOND hilarious! I’m not going to go into serious detail about it so as not to spoil it but it’s definitely a must-see. It was absolutely gut-busting. RECOMMENDED!
