Hello lovers and friends!!

I’ve recently come to realize that I only post when I’m extremely bored or when I’m airing something out, so I’ve decided to change that. After all, the point of a blog is not only to get big things off your chest but to help you express yourself in a more positive manner and to get the small things off your chest that might also force you to self-destruct.

Anyway let me delve head first into what’s going on in my life before i bore you to death. So far, after a pretty dissappointing semester, I’ve decided to focus myself more on my studies and my time management problem. Just having a planner clearly does not help so I’ve decided that since I’m always staring at my cell phone that I would put everything that I need to do in my calendar and just let the alarm annoy me to death with the many tasks that I have to get through a day. In addition to that, I’m trying to dedicate a whole day out of my week to doing homework, studying, and reading up on my subjects.

At the moment, I am a public relations junior, the Treasurer of the Haitian Student Organization, and the Secretary for the National Black Public Relations Society (we ARE the first chapter at my school and this is our first semester with this organization so give us a big round of applause. lol).
I’m really excited about being a part of NBPRS, I just feel like were going to do something really good with this organization and pass it on to some good people! We had our first meeting yesterday and some really great people came and brought a really warm vibe. :)

Sidebar: I lost my favorite cute little hat today in this snowy blizzardy weather and I’m really upset at the moment :’(

I’m also a really big procrastinator so I really need an internship, a place to live next year, and a job and I’m sleeping on all of those projects. I’m really mad at myself because those are the really big things that need to get done ASAP and I’m just sitting around as if they’re going to fall into my lap.

Sidebar: I bought a digital camera this weekend and its SO cute and purple!! (my favorite color) I’m pretty excited because those of you who know me know that I am obsessed with taking pictures and know that my favorite camera got stolen at my senior prom and my last one wasn’t so good to begin with so it pretty much broke after a yr. But this time I’m holding on to this camera because I spent too much money on it! (half of my winter paychecks-which wasn’t much to begin with anyway. lol).

Being in the Haitian Student Organization is also really rewarding because I feel like we really do things that make a difference, and this semester we are planning on doing some collaborations with the students at UPENN- DHSA. I have a feeling that this semester is going to be really productive if I control my time and prevent people from distracting me. Wish me luck!!!
Anyway, I’m about to head out, today is Tuesday- HSO’s general body meeting- and I have to help the President with the refreshments. Our topic today is “Our President is ?” where we basically discuss the first 100 days of Obama’s presidency, what we as Haitians and Haitian students expect from him, and what he plans on doing for Haiti. We have some really great members so I’m pretty sure even though it’s a horrible day-weather wise- we will get a nice turnout and a great discussion. Wish you could be there!
