I’m S0O MAD Charlamagne got fired! He was the highlight to my Monday/Wednesday/Friday morning routine.

100.3 The Beat is a Philadelphia radio station and Charlamagne is one of their on-air personalities. He normally broadcasts in the morning and was once a part of Wendy William’s regular on-air show before she left for her tv show.

One of 100.3 The Beat’s workers came out to saw that he believes Charlamagne’s firing was due to the interview that he held with Beenie Sigel in which he aired all of his business and strifes that he had with Jay-Z.

The insider went on to discuss that even though the interview brought the station very high ratings, their relationship with Jay-Z was more important because of his high standing in the rap game and the pure maintenance of a lucrative business relationship.

While everyone is still is questioning, the insider from 100.3 The Beat has no doubt that the firing was because of this reason and this reason alone.

Here is what Chalamagne had to say about the firing to XXL Magazine:

“I don’t know, that’s what I’m hearing but I don’t know how true that is,” Charlamagne said about the Beans interview. “I don’t see why that woulda been an issue. I would hope that the powers that be, like Jay-Z, wouldn’t be that petty. But you never know. Yeah, my numbers were great. I’ve never had any disciplinary action, never been suspended, never been written up, never had any verbal warnings…As controversial as they say I am, I’m like a model employee. Any program director that’s worked with me will tell you that but that’s the way it goes in radio. That’s why you gotta treat these buildings like the Carter, man. You go in, set up shop, do what you gotta do and burn it down when it’s over.”
